I was recently delighted to find out that I had made the top 100 shortlist for the International Pet Photographer of the Year awards.

This is a worldwide competition, and I made it to the top 100 photographers from 2,500 entries, so I’m very excited about being recognised. There are some beautiful, beautiful images submitted and I am glad to be amongst them.

This is the photograph that was shortlisted. It was taken at sunset on a cold February evening. Sunset is my favourite time to photograph pets and families, and the warm and cool tones blend perfectly in the night sky.
