Spring Into Bluebells
For a minute there in February, when we had a week of sunshine and unusually warm weather, I thought Spring had arrived. March, though is full of cloud and dull skies. But, colour is on its way in the shape of Bluebells and these beautiful flowers will fill the woodlands in late April and early May.
Spring is one of my favourite seasons because nature awakens. The clocks go forward and we are blessed with more evening light. The trees grow blossom and leaves, and the landscapes around us bloom with colour - we have rapeseed fields, poppy fields, daffodils, lavender fields, and one of my favorites - bluebell woods.
This year I am super excited to be offering bluebell mini sessions again. I have not offered these for a few years now due to other events and commitments - so this year I am excited to meet your growing families and pets and to photograph them amongst the bluebells.
Bluebells are magical and enchanting and we are lucky in the southwest to be graced with many woods that offer these flowers for us to enjoy. This year, my shoots will take place in the Bristol/South Gloucestershire area - though the location will be decided nearer the time so as I can scout the best location for our photo shoot. I also welcome you to suggest some locations if you have seen any Bluebells on your travels.
They normally appear in late April and their presence is fleeting, which is why I am only offering two days of bluebell shoots this year. One day is already completely fully booked.
You'll find that pretty pastel and neutral colours work when being photographed in the bluebells - yellows, whites, greys, pale blues and pale pinks can work well. You can find out more about my mini sessions on my dedicated page underneath the sessions & prices tab.
If you would like to book a bluebell session, please get in touch asap.
