Safari Photographer of the Year Awards

Last year I entered a Wildlife Competition with West Midland Safari Park and in November I was told that three of my images had made it through to the second round of judging. In December, I was informed that I was a finalist with all three photographs. I was over the moon to get this far and was invited to an exhibition and award evening where my photographs would be exhibited on the wall and where all of the finalists would find out the winners of the competition.

I am so excited to say that I was the winner of the 'Wildlife in Colour' category with this photograph of a siberian tiger, one of my favourite big cats. I also won Runner Up in the 'Wildlife in Black & White' Category, with my photograph of a Dhole.

Not only that, but my photographs will be on display in the safari park throughout January, so please let me know if you visit and see them there.

Here are the winning photographs - The Siberian Tiger,  the Dhole, the Waterbuck and a photograph of me receiving my award certificate.

I am thrilled with this achievement as I am so very passionate about animals and wildlife photography.
